The National Portrait Gallery welcomes professional filmmakers and is a sought-after location with a range of interesting and beautiful spaces to offer, including the Heinz Archive & Library shown above.

Opportunities to film inside the Gallery are currently limited due to the temporary closure for the Inspiring People redevelopment project, but inquiries for future projects are welcome as we approach our reopening in June 2023. We hope to show you more of our new spaces soon.

If you would like to film at the Gallery, please contact the Picture Library team at rightsandimages@npg.org.uk to discuss details of your proposed project. It is important to make firm arrangements in advance, so we can work around the Gallery’s busy schedule to help you achieve your creative goals.
